Eligibility Criteria of Assam Navodaya Admission 2023

Here we describe Navodya Admission Eligibility Criteria Of Assam for the year 2023. Below in this Section, we provide complete information, please read carefully before applying.

District Selection: 

Only the candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission.

Age Limit: 

A candidate who wants admission must not have been born before 1st May 2012 and after 31st July 2014 (both dates are inclusive). This will apply to candidates of all categories.

Current Study: 

A candidate who wants to appear for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the whole of the academic session 2023-24 in a Government/Government aided or other recognized school or a ‘B’ certificate competency course of the National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.

Previous Admission: 

A candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before 31st July 2023 is not eligible to apply.

Attempt Limit: 

No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time, under any circumstances.

Selection Test for   Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya 2023

Since there are only a limited number of seats available in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidhyalaya Samiti runs a selection-based test known as the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) to address this issue. Depending on the student's JNVST score, NVS will accept their entrance. The primary method of entry into Navodaya Vidyalaya is the JNVST.

How to Apply for Assam Navodaya Admission?

In this section here we describe step-by-step Online Admission application in Navodya Vidyala for the year 2023-2024. We request to every Student follow these steps to complete their online admission form.

1. Scroll down, and check the Important Link section.
2. Click on the Online Application Link.
3. Now, an official web portal will load in the new tab of your browser.
4. Tick on Have you read the prospectus? and click Proceed.
5. A form will load, fill in the all required details carefully.
6. After that, you have to upload your documents.
7. Now, click on Save & Preview.
8. After that, you will get a preview of your application.
9. Now, click on submit your application button.
10. Also, you will receive an acknowledgment copy of your submission.
11. Keep that acknowledgment copy for future use.

Composition of JNV Selection Test

The selection test will be of two-hour duration from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and will have 3 sections with only objective-type questions. There are 80 questions in all for 100 marks.
